Growing area: the Marche, in the province of Ancona.
Location: in the DOC Lacrima di Morro D’Alba zone.
Age: from 8 to 30 years.
Soils: originally alluvially-deposited seabed sediment, predominantly Plio-Pleistocene and Miocene clay and sand.
Aspect and elevation: 160-280 metres, facing from East to Northwest
Training system: arched cane and double guyot.
Vineyard density: from 1.700 to 3.000 vines per hectare.
Yield: 10 t of grapes pruned to low bud per hectare
Harvest: hand-picked.

Vinification: pre-fermentation cold maceration, then controlled-temperature fermentation.
Maturation: in steel tanks sur lie for a few months, then in bottle in temperature-controlled storage. tasting notes

Winemaker's notes
Appearance: powerful and sui generis ruby red colour typical of the grape.
Bouquet: intense and varietal with scent of wild red berry fruit: currant, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry with floral notes of rose petals and violets.
Palate: flowery and fruity, it exhibits fine weight and length.
A wine with a very rich bouquet which is at its best if enjoyed while still youthful, within 2/3 years of harvest.

Serving suggestions: very good with dishes rich in aromas and spices: curry, saffron, chilli pepper, pink pepper. Excellent with traditional Italian pasta dishes like bucatini all’amatriciana or penne all’arrabbiata
